Feel like you’re drowning under a deluge of data? You’re not alone. Every minute, more than 2 million Google searches are performed, 2 million emails are sent, and the number of blogs, webpages, likes, comments and photos grows exponentially.
Making sense of data can be the difference between trial-and-error methodologies and a strategic approach to decision-making. With increased focus on the latter, many organizations are turning to sophisticated business intelligence tools to analyze their data and differentiate from the competition. We’ve seen some confusion among Infor Lawson system users around LBI and Infor BI (IBI) plus Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management (d/EPM). As your trusted Infor partner, we’re here to advise you based on your future goals and current Lawson footprint.
Infor d/EPM is an integrated suite of financial performance management applications, packaged analytics, and compliance tools that operate across your enterprise systems and deliver a real-time, single version of the truth. The benefits go beyond easy access to data; With Infor d/EPM you can understand risk, performance, and the impact of decisions company-wide before you act.
“d/EPM is definitely where the BI team is putting their focus; it leverages the analytic and graphical strengths of the Infor BI platform,” said Adam Goldstein, vice president of products and services at Avaap. “Infor BI dynamically slices your multi-dimensional data and your current investment in LBI will continue to be most efficient at delivering tactical business insight.”
In the Infor BI for Lawson suite, the legacy analytic viewers ViewPoint (and even older ScoreCard) will be replaced by IBI. This new addition to the suite will provide advanced presentations and dashboards plus the ability for mobile displays. Infor BI will have a no-cost license swap available for existing LBI customers.
d/EPM delivers an advanced budgeting solution and more comprehensive view of business information, enabling users to see all the data from Infor and non-Infor systems in a single dashboard. The Infor d/EPM suite requires an additional license, but is deployed on the same Infor BI environment.
