Like any long-term commitment, the ERP relationship can become less valuable over time, if it isn’t nurtured. Keeping up with new functionality, patch applications, new analytics trends, and uncovering opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and achieve business goals through business process assessments is paramount to keeping the love alive.
Here are some ideas to reinvigorate the relationship and ignite passion for your current Infor ERP while getting more value from the system.
Stay Up to Date
It’s easy to get behind on applying patches, especially if you rely on manual process and resources are focused on more pressing business demands. Falling behind can result in unstable systems and potential exposure to cyber security breaches. With limited time, planning, or resources, the challenge of staying current is immense, and falling behind can lead to user frustration and workarounds that increase the potential for error.
As with any successful relationship, make time for the things that matter. Create and commit to an annual or biannual patch and upgrade schedule, planned in a month that works well for all your departments.
