Dogs Rule, Cats Drool – Dr. Craig Joseph Talks Trends at HIMSS

Good morning! I thought I was the only one getting an early start on HIMSS.

Another theme for HIMSS 2018, I think, is going to be dogs. Now, I know a lot of people have been talking about cats lately, but I really think dogs are taking over.

HIMSS Trends 2018

Why? They’re man’s best friend. Woman’s best friend, too.

Cats have been a big thing. Cats were associated with meaningful use, everyone knows that. Remember HIMSS 2015? Everyone was just 100 percent cats. But I really see dogs gaining lead, 25-30 percent of HIMSS this year, and the cat population really going down.

Avaap CMO Craig Joseph is a dog lover, but he’s also an extremely knowledgeable CMO with an extensive background as a pediatrician and former Epic employee. He spends his time helping hospitals and health systems learn how to configure their EHR for greater physician efficiency and satisfaction. Want to learn to love your EHR? Let’s connect at HIMSS 2018. Avaap is in booth #12319.
