Upgraded solution includes unlimited variables, enhanced message validation, and more robust reporting
Infor Lawson software users know that regression testing is a necessary component for optimal software performance. But the fact is no one enjoys time-consuming, repetitive testing activities – especially when other work priorities and responsibilities are mounting.
Recognizing the need for more efficient system testing, Avaap introduced Avaap Test Automation in summer 2011. Since then, our customers have shared how automating Infor Lawson regression testing has eased the testing process in their organizations, enabling staff to focus on core activities.
Our customers have also shared insight into how to make the product even better. At Avaap, we take our customer’s input seriously and have incorporated that feedback into the latest version of Avaap Test Automation. Here are some enhancements we’ve made to improve usability and deliver a more comprehensive solution:
Lawson 10 compatibility – Avaap Test Automation users can now reuse scripts created in Infor Lawson9 in Infor10 with minimal changes and limiting the number of scripts that need to be rewritten. As more organizations prepare to migrate their deployment, automated testing can shorten the overall test cycle and minimize disruption to users.
Enhanced status bar reader for Infor Lawson S3 and Design Studio – Advanced summary screen validations are now available for both Standard Infor S3 forms and Customized Design Studio Screens. Validation messages are populated and displayed on the main view, easing the process for users to validate information and make other modifications.
Ability to run multiple batch jobs in a test plan – Multiple batch transactions can now be performed in a single plan, freeing users to focus on more strategic activities.
Screenshot capture for visual validation – Capture screenshots at any point of the script from staging to testing and production environments. This functionality allows for visual review of changes and version control or can be used to establish baseline images. Screenshots can be shared with critical decision-makers for insight into pass or fail status.
Unlimited global variables – Users can now test unlimited variables that are defined in one or more modules and then referenced by other modules. This allows users to reduce complexity in regression testing when one or more modules change.
Exportable summary report – End users can generate PDF reports with all records, making it easier to share data with business decision-makers for actionable intelligence.
