Your One-Stop Workday Rising Survival Guide

Workday Rising returns to Orlando September 12 through 15, and we’re ready for it. Are you?

Whether this is your first time, or you’ve been attending since the conference originated in 2007, you’re likely navigating a packed schedule, numerous meetings, party invites, and other commitments. We want you to have the best conference experience ever, so here are some tips to help:

Don’t skip the Starbucks! This goes against traditional trade show wisdom of staying hydrated and passing on caffeinated products, but let’s face it, it’s easier to pay attention when you are alert. For your convenience, there’s a Starbucks located on the main level at the convention center.

Stay comfortable – sport sneakers. The Orange County Convention Center is the second largest convention center in the U.S., boasting 2.1 million square feet of exhibition space. A few laps around the show floor to various sessions, vendor booths and the lunch buffet, and you’ll log a mile or two of walking by the end of the day. You don’t have to forgo fashion for comfort!

Stay out of the red zone. Remember your phone charger. Long day at the convention center, limited Wi-Fi access, and constant use of your device to check schedules, post updates and connect with team members will drain your battery life. There are dedicated charging stations throughout the show floor, but we’re also happy to charge your device in our booth while you learn about how Avaap can help your organization leverage the most value from your Workday investments.

Get out and explore! O-town is built for nightlife. When you’re not enjoying conference excitement, you’ll want to check out Café Tu Tu Tango for good food and good atmosphere, The Hampton Social live music and tasty drinks, or ICEBAR to cool off from the Florida heat.

Plan your schedule. There are so many great sessions on the agenda. Take the time to plan your priorities so you don’t miss important information or time with key contacts. We recommend everyone attend session ITLPPS2424 on Digital Transformation with Workday in Higher Ed and the Public Sector.

Attend the Innovation Keynote. Join Workday’s Co-CEOs Aneel Bhuri and Chano Fernandez to get a inside look into the Workday vision and how they are helping organizations like your navigate the changing business world with technology.

Grab some shades. Spending a few days in sunny Florida can be rough without some sun shades. Luckily, Avaap will have branded sunglasses at our booth. Stop by to say hi and grab a pair before they’re gone!

If you haven’t scheduled time to meet with Avaap at Workday Rising, do that now. If you’re attending Rising in person, we’ll see you in Orlando! If not, let’s catch up virtually to discuss how Avaap can help.
