You Can’t Make Decisions If Your Data Misses Its Connection

After two weeks of airports, boarding zones, and frantic luggage Tetris across Europe, one thing became painfully clear: Even the best plans fall apart when something doesn’t arrive on time — like your data… or your suitcase in Milan.
Whether you’re planning a trip or building executive dashboards, you need your essentials in one place, ready to go. And when your data is still stuck at the departure terminal (a.k.a. Workday), no amount of visualization magic can save the day.

Let’s unpack this:

  • Workday is an excellent system for managing HR, finance, and operational data, and it provides robust built-in reporting for operational needs.
  • But like check-in counters at Heathrow, it’s not specifically built for fast, real-time analytics or historical trend tracking.
  • Workday data can be paired up with Snowflake, the high-performance jet that moves your data (first-class, naturally) to where it can be analyzed, visualized, and actioned.

AI Could Be a Treat, If You Avoid the Tricks

Picture1AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and generative AI promise productivity magic, but if you ignore the human side, you could end up with a real nightmare: low adoption, wasted investment, and employees haunted by fear of the unknown.

Why? Because AI isn’t just a tech upgrade, it’s a people transformation that changes how work gets done. Like any good Halloween story, there’s suspense, uncertainty, and a few things that go bump in the night (like job security fears).

Why Human-Centric AI Is Your Magic Weapon

  • Uneven impact: Some roles will feel like they’ve seen a ghost; others will barely notice.
  • Rapid change = change fatigue: AI moves faster than a witch on a broomstick.
  • Knowledge gaps fuel fear: Employees wonder, “Will AI replace me? Do I need new skills?”

  • Offer training and upskilling.
  • Create safe spaces for questions.
