As organizations face mounting pressure to deliver insights faster, drive outcomes, manage costs, and adopt AI responsibly, 2026 will mark a turning point for data and analytics strategy. Those that modernize their data foundations and embed AI governance will lead the way. Continue reading to learn Avaap’s expert predictions for 2026.

Avaap’s 2026 Predictions for Data, Analytics, and AI

1. Lakehouse and Data Fabric Become the Default Architecture

By 2026, organizations will consolidate fragmented data platforms into lakehouse architectures, layered with data fabric for governance and observability. This approach enables AI, reduces complexity, improves scalability, and enables faster insights across the enterprise.

2. Responsible AI Moves from Policy to Practice

AI governance will shift from aspirational principles to operational controls embedded in workflows. Expect bias checks, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop review to become standard, especially in regulated sectors. Trust and transparency will be critical for adoption—organizations that can demonstrate responsible AI will gain a competitive edge.

3. Analytics Shift from Dashboards to Decisions

Static dashboards will give way to analytics embedded in business workflows, enabling real-time decision-making and automation. “Copilot” experiences will become common, guiding users through complex processes.

4. Cost Governance for AI Becomes a Strategic Priority

As AI usage scales, cost-to-serve will emerge as a top KPI. Organizations will implement token budgets, caching strategies, and model switching to balance accuracy and affordability.

5. Renewed Focus on Data Governance and Data Quality

AI will drive organizations to increase their focus on the data that increasingly drive decision-making in more complex ways. Time-to-value and accuracy of AI solutions heavily depend upon the sources of data included in the solution. Furthermore, the quality of the underlying data becomes more abstracted from the end user, making high quality data a key foundation for AI solutions.

6. Unstructured Data Becomes Mainstream

The power of AI enables unstructured data sources such as text, audio, and video to be more accessible for downstream analytics. While structured data sources will remain a key foundation, increasingly organizations will be able to generate more value from their unstructured data sources to drive rapid decision-making and unlock new insights.

Why These 2026 Data and AI Trends Are Critical for Success

As we approach 2026, leaders must act now to prepare for these changes. From modernizing data platforms to embedding responsible AI and decision-driven analytics, getting ahead of these trends will define which organizations thrive.

The holidays aren’t just about giving—they’re about giving smarter. Organizations have access to more information than ever, but without the right tools, insights stay locked away. By leveraging Snowflake and analytics for holiday giving and community impact, you can unify data from multiple sources, share insights securely, and apply advanced analytics to ensure every dollar and volunteer hour creates maximum impact. From identifying high-need areas to forecasting demand and measuring outcomes, Snowflake turns goodwill into measurable results. Continue reading to learn how Snowflake and analytics can transform your holiday giving strategy.

Why Data Matters in Holiday Giving

Community needs vary widely—whether it’s food insecurity, housing, education, or healthcare. Without data, efforts risk being reactive or misaligned. Analytics help answer critical questions:

  • Where is the greatest need?
  • Which programs deliver the highest impact per dollar?
  • How can resources be allocated equitably?

By analyzing local demographic trends, donation patterns, and historical outcomes, organizations can prioritize initiatives that truly move the needle.

3 Ways Analytics Can Amplify Holiday Impact:

1. Identify High-Need Areas

Geospatial analytics and census data can pinpoint neighborhoods with the highest vulnerability. This ensures donations and volunteer efforts reach those who need them most.

2. Optimize Resource Allocation

Predictive models can forecast demand for services like food banks or shelters during the winter months. This helps nonprofits and corporate partners plan inventory and staffing efficiently.

3. Measure and Share Outcomes

Dashboards and visualization tools make it easy to track progress—meals served, families supported, funds distributed—and share results with stakeholders. Transparency builds trust and encourages continued engagement.

How Snowflake and Analytics Power Holiday Giving and Community Impact

To make these insights actionable, organizations need a secure, scalable platform to unify and analyze data from multiple sources. Snowflake’s Data Cloud enables nonprofits and businesses to:

  • Centralize disparate data from donation systems, volunteer platforms, and public datasets in one place.
  • Share data securely with partners and agencies without complex integrations.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and AI to uncover trends and predict future needs while maintaining compliance and governance.

With Snowflake, your holiday giving strategy isn’t just data-driven—it’s collaborative, efficient, and built for impact.

Building a Data-Driven Giving Strategy

Start small:

  • Collect the right data: Community surveys, historical program performance, and local economic indicators.
  • Use accessible tools: Platforms like Tableau or Power BI can turn raw data into actionable insights, especially when connected to Snowflake for real-time access.
  • Collaborate: Partner with local nonprofits and government agencies to share data and avoid duplication.

Why Snowflake and Analytics Create Lasting Community Impact Beyond the Holidays

Data doesn’t replace compassion—it amplifies it. By combining holiday spirit with analytics, organizations can transform goodwill into measurable outcomes that strengthen communities long after the season ends. As a Snowflake Premier Partner, Avaap brings deep expertise to help organizations unlock the full potential of Snowflake and analytics for smarter holiday giving and lasting community impact.

Ready to make your holiday giving smarter? Discover how Avaap and Snowflake can help you build a data-driven strategy that delivers measurable community impact—this season and beyond.

As higher education faces demographic shifts, fiscal pressures, and rapid technological change, 2026 will mark a turning point for colleges and universities. We believe that institutions that embrace innovation while maintaining trust and governance will lead the way. Continue reading to learn more about Avaap’s expert predictions for 2026 higher education trends.

Avaap’s 2026 Higher Education Predictions:

1. Agentic AI and the “Trusted Campus Assistant” Era

By 2026, colleges will transition from merely experimenting with generative AI to integrating systems that actively assist students, faculty, and administrators with tasks like scheduling, advising, and initiating workflows. The key factor will be trust and governance: how institutions curate, rather than just deploy, AI to enhance human judgment.

2. Financial Sustainability Through Shared Services

As demographic and fiscal pressures grow, institutions will increasingly combine administrative and technology functions — creating regional or mission-aligned micro-consortia that share ERP platforms, analytics hubs, and even data governance frameworks. The aim: maintain institutional identity while achieving scale and efficiency.

3. Data-Driven Academic Strategy and Workforce Alignment

Colleges are set to integrate institutional data with labor market analytics and learner outcomes, transforming program planning from a reactive approach to a predictive one. We can anticipate an increase in skills intelligence platforms, redesigning curricula based on employability data, and developing tools to optimize faculty workload that links teaching efforts to student success and ROI.

4. Tech Fluency Becomes the New Student Satisfaction Metric

By 2026, institutions that effectively utilize administrative and learning technologies will significantly outperform those that only implement these tools without mastery. As hybrid and AI-assisted learning become more prevalent, the key differentiator will not be merely accessing technology, but rather how intuitively it is used to organize courses, foster connections, and enhance teaching—rather than replacing it.

Why These Trends Matter

As we approach 2026, higher education leaders must act now to prepare for these changes. From AI governance to shared services and predictive analytics, getting ahead of these 2026 higher education trends will define which institutions thrive.

As we approach 2026, state and local governments are facing increasing challenges and opportunities due to fiscal constraints, rapid technology adoption, and changing workforce needs. In this article, we share 2026 state and local government predictions from Avaap experts, highlighting three major trends that will shape public sector transformation and service delivery.

Avaap’s 2026 State & Local Government Predictions:

1. Fiscal Pressures Will Reshape Service Delivery

Governments are facing budget cuts and rising costs, requiring them to reevaluate how they deliver services. Rather than expanding programs, agencies will focus on their core functions, optimize the resources they already have, and strive for greater efficiency through technology. We can anticipate an increased emphasis on cost containment strategies, shared services, and data-driven decision-making to ensure maximum impact despite limited funding.

2. AI Will Require Smarter Governance

Artificial intelligence will continue to expand in government, automating tasks and providing meaningful data and context for decision-making. However, this progress will demand smarter governance—not replace it. Governments must ensure human oversight for quality assurance and reliability, maintaining accountability as AI systems become more integrated. While AI can enhance efficiency and deliver predictive insights, human judgment will remain essential to guide ethical use and safeguard public trust.

3. Workforce Adaptability Will Define Success

Hybrid work models and rapid technological changes require a workforce that can adapt swiftly. Traditional one-time training is no longer sufficient; agencies must focus on continuous change management and ongoing digital skills development to keep up with the pace of change. Organizations that invest in consistent enablement and user adoption strategies are likely to achieve a higher return on investment from their technology initiatives.

Why These Trends Matter

Our 2026 predictions highlight the importance of strategic technology implementation and effective change management. Avaap collaborates with state and local government organizations to modernize ERP systems, responsibly integrate AI, and develop resilient workforces prepared for the future.

You Can’t Make Decisions If Your Data Misses Its Connection

After two weeks of airports, boarding zones, and frantic luggage Tetris across Europe, one thing became painfully clear: Even the best plans fall apart when something doesn’t arrive on time — like your data… or your suitcase in Milan.
Whether you’re planning a trip or building executive dashboards, you need your essentials in one place, ready to go. And when your data is still stuck at the departure terminal (a.k.a. Workday), no amount of visualization magic can save the day.

That’s where Snowflake becomes the MVP of your travel — and data — toolkit.

Workday is the Check-in Counter, Snowflake is the Jet Engine

Let’s unpack this:

  • Workday is an excellent system for managing HR, finance, and operational data, and it provides robust built-in reporting for operational needs.
  • But like check-in counters at Heathrow, it’s not specifically built for fast, real-time analytics or historical trend tracking.
  • Workday data can be paired up with Snowflake, the high-performance jet that moves your data (first-class, naturally) to where it can be analyzed, visualized, and actioned.

As a Snowflake partner, Avaap has developed a proprietary tool, Avaap’s Data Accelerator: Workday to Snowflake Data Capabilities, to create a unified data environment that enables:

  • Rich time-based analysis (headcount, turnover, recruiting trends)
  • Live dashboards for execs (no more CSV exports!)
  • Smarter forecasting using both structured and semi-structured data
  • Integrate with data from other platforms, e.g., UKG, LMS or more

It’s like switching from dragging a suitcase through cobblestone streets… to catching a high-speed train in Switzerland. Same destination, way more efficient.

Data Strategy Lessons from International Travel

Here’s what my passport (and my inner data architect) reminded me on this trip:

  1. Know your source of truth.

Workday is excellent at storing and managing people data, but it’s not your BI platform. Avaap’s Data Accelerator provides that data integration solution. You wouldn’t ask the check-in agent to fly the plane.
  2. Build for speed and history.

When Snowflake pulls data in real time and stores historical views, it’s like being able to see both today’s departure time and your entire flight log since 2019.
  3. Avoid bottlenecks.

Nothing creates chaos like a missing gate or a data sync that runs only once a week. Avaap’s Data Accelerator solution is a pre-built accelerator that can meet business demands and move at the pace of business.
  4. Plan for agility.
I booked a backup train from Paris to Amsterdam just in case. Similarly, Avaap’s Data Accelerator offers flexibility to build data flows that can evolve as roles, structures, or reporting needs change.

How This Helps You Plan Your Next European Trip (Really)

Snowflake might not recommend which trattoria in Florence takes reservations, but using it as your data hub makes travel—and life—easier when:

  • Your finance team wants to compare headcount forecasts to actuals over the past 6 quarters
  • HR wants to visualize onboarding trends by region and role
  • Leadership asks for a “quick” slide showing organizational change impacts over time

All this data lives in Workday and potentially other systems in your organization. But without a Snowflake connection, it’s like asking airport security for dinner recommendations. Wrong tool, wrong place.

Final Boarding Call: Data Needs to Travel Too

After navigating flight delays, train transfers, and enough croissants to chomp down before chasing a bus or taxi, one thing stuck with me:

You can’t act on what you don’t see — and you can’t see what you haven’t moved to the right place.

Getting your Workday data into Snowflake isn’t just a technical integration. It’s a strategic move to:

  • Make better decisions, faster
  • Build trust in your data
  • Reduce the manual madness

And that leaves you more time for what really matters — like that walking tour of Barcelona or that perfectly flaky pastry in Lisbon.

How can public safety agencies ensure they have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, while meeting growing expectations for transparency?

Rising staffing shortages, retirements, and increased calls for accountability are reshaping the operational reality for law enforcement and emergency services nationwide. In many cities, retirements are outpacing recruitment, creating gaps in patrol coverage and placing heavier workloads on remaining staff. At the same time, communities are asking for greater visibility into who’s serving them, how resources are being allocated, and whether those resources are distributed equitably. These pressures demand timely, accurate, and accessible data. Without it, agencies risk making reactive decisions that can undermine both service levels and public trust.

Law Enforcement Retirements Impact Staffing

istockphoto-1310108875-170667aA wave of retirements is accelerating through law enforcement, with experienced officers leaving faster than agencies can replace them. This not only reduces headcount but also creates a loss of institutional knowledge and mentorship for newer recruits.

Chronic Understaffing Impacts Operations

Safety agencies operate with fewer personnel than needed, forcing remaining staff to cover larger areas and take on additional responsibilities. This strain can impact response times, community engagement, and overall service quality.

How Avaap Can Help

The Public Safety Workforce Allocation Dashboards provide an at-a-glance view of critical staffing metrics, from total member counts and average years of service to district-level deployment and demographic breakdowns. They combine visual tools like geographic maps, trend charts, and age distributions to give leaders immediate insight into workforce composition, coverage gaps, and operational readiness.

Behind these visuals, Avaap partners closely with public safety agencies to ensure the data driving decisions are accurate, timely, and actionable-whether that means cleansing and integrating information from multiple sources, automating workflows with Alteryx, leveraging the scalability of Snowflake for secure data storage, or delivering intuitive, interactive analytics in Tableau and Power BI. This collaborative approach ensures each dashboard is not just a static report, but a living, adaptable tool aligned to the unique operational needs of public safety organizations.

Let’s face it—AI is everywhere.

Every headline, every meeting, and every strategy session seems to revolve around artificial intelligence. And while the possibilities are exciting, it can also be a bit overwhelming. How do we maintain our sanity in the AI era? More importantly, how do we know what to control so AI doesn’t end up controlling us?

That question inspired Avaap’s topic for the PMI Global Summit, where we’ll explore how AI is changing the way we measure project success and why it’s time to move beyond traditional metrics.

Why Traditional Project Metrics Aren’t Enough

Hand holding tablet with online business report conceptWe’ve learned that measuring project success by time, scope, and budget alone doesn’t always reflect the full picture. These metrics are useful, but they don’t capture what really matters, such as:

  • Long-term adoption
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Measurable ROI

Success today means understanding the value a project brings to business, not just whether it was delivered on time. The PMBOK® Guide gives us a foundation, but we need more relevant, forward-looking metrics to thrive in today’s environment.

Embracing AI in Project Management

With AI and advanced analytics, we can stop checking the rear-view mirror and start looking ahead. AI-driven metrics offer predictive insights that help organizations anticipate challenges, make smarter decisions, and improve adoption.

As Harvard Business Review recently noted, thriving in the age of AI requires leaders to develop new skills, rethink structures, and empower teams to embrace change. Rather than aiming to be experts in AI, we should focus on becoming explorers.

What You’ll Learn in Avaap’s Session at PMI Global Summit

Our session will help attendees:

  • Identify the key differences between traditional and AI-powered project and change management metrics.
  • Apply AI tools to improve decision-making, predict adoption trends, and drive better project outcomes.

We’ll demonstrate how organizations can use machine learning, automation, and predictive analytics to move from reactive to proactive strategies and maximize ROI for each initiative.

Whether you’re a seasoned project manager or just beginning to explore AI’s potential, this session will offer practical insights you can apply right away.

Why This Matters Now

With AI becoming more integrated into every aspect of business, understanding how to use it effectively is no longer optional; it’s essential. As highlighted in Harvard Business Review, organizations must ensure their AI strategies are designed to create real value, not just chase trends.

Join Avaap at the PMI Global Summit to learn how AI is transforming project success—and how you can lead the way.

When you think about what makes a public safety department successful, data might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Yet, behind every effective operation—whether it’s workforce deployment, incident response, or community engagement—clean and reliable data is a driving force. Transparency and accountability start with information leaders can trust.
