As a growing university, Soka recognized that it did not have a single source of information, which prevented fast decision-making backed by data. The university also faced a skill and staffing challenge, as dedicated resources responsible for maintaining its on-premises solution left the institution.
Key Highlights
Workday Financial Management and Human Capital Management (HCM) deployed by Avaap
Soka University of America selected Workday for its Financial Management and HCM solution and engaged Avaap as its systems integrator for the deployment. Avaap’s deep understanding of challenges in higher education, Workday knowledge and strong cultural fit were key drivers for the partnership.
Reduced paper processes and increased efficiency
Soka University has realized the benefits of its Workday solution in many instances. For example, Workday enables faster, digital processes that no longer require physical signatures to be manually scanned into their legacy system.
Soka resources are also spending less time maintaining physical hardware. The former campus server room has been re-allocated, delivering additional savings.
Soka University of America and Avaap
Avaap’s deep understanding of challenges in higher education, Workday experience, and strong cultural fit were key drivers for the partnership. The Avaap team also had experience in Soka’s legacy system and was able to seamlessly crosswalk data and functions into Soka’s Workday solution.
Following successful go-live, Soka continued to engage Avaap as its partner for post-production support, optimizing its Workday solution.
