The Challenge
Vertex Education started as a single charter school and has grown to serving more than 26,000 students in 28 schools. With its growth, Vertex sought an ERP system that offered flexibility and scalability to meet increased demands while continuing an aggressive growth trajectory. From its genesis as a start-up, Vertex had been maintaining several legacy systems that needed standardizing, particularly as it acquired more schools in its management portfolio.
Increasing transparency and functionality was also a concern for Vertex. Existing systems had not been integrated, creating additional challenges.

Vertex realized the advantages of its Workday deployment in unifying HCM and financial applications. The ability to streamline the payroll and benefits enrollment process and gain stronger reporting and visibility was achieved.
